It is with bittersweet feelings that we announce the closing of the retail shop at Glenn & Company. Although it has been a fabulous past seven years, full of many accomplishments and wonderful brides, we have decided to turn our talents to other areas of the industry, and to take care of ourselves a bit! Why are we closing? There are a few reasons we have reached this decision. Firstly, the health of one of the owners must now come first, before the business. She will now be taking the year off to get those personal issues taken care of. Such stresses are too much for one owner to handle - those of you who have visited Glenn & Company know what care we take of our brides, and handling our customers with this level of service will not be possible with only one owner at the helm! When we close the shop, the other owner will concentrate on another aspect of the business - our personal assistance on the day of the wedding - known as "Peace of Mind" She will also concentrate on writing that book that all of you have been hearing about over the last couple of years! Our publisher eagerly awaits the manuscript, and we will now have the time to do it. We thank all of our past brides for the wonderful experience. We truly feel we have made many brides look their absolute best! With some, we grew as close as sisters! Also, a big thank you to the wonderful designers that we have come to know and love - To Christos - good luck in your retirement, you always knew what was the perfect "Glenn & Company dress." - and to Michael at Christos - there never was a nicer guy in the industry! All the best to you in your new endeavors at Amsale. To Anne Barge and the ladies - thank you for being one of the few businesses run entirely by women who cared about the quality and integrity of design. Anne always does everything with elegance! To Rita and Tony at Rivini - We've been together since the beginning... We wish you more and more success as the years pass! Rita - when I get married, will you design my wedding gown? To Amy and Kyle at Amy Michelson - Amy - good luck with your career, your health (as we can all relate!) and to your wonderful charity! Kyle - what a great guy - you will be missed! To Jenny Lee and Rocky - Keep on designing some of the most luscious dresses we have ever seen. We're only sorry that we didn't have a longer relationship together! To Mary Clary - Our neighbor and friend - we'll continue to work together! To Steven at Malis-Henderson - Hundreds of veils later - It will seem strange not to place another order for a "single-tier rattail edge" veil! To Karen Fenaroli - A whirlwind who never stops! Keep on truckin'! And finally to Laura and Flora at Vera Wang - Wow! How did "little old us" sell soooo many gowns? We can honestly say that we won't miss those hundreds and hundreds of bridesmaids anymore! You two are great, and will be missed!!
